Rate (per 10,000) of People Enrolled in Medi-Cal and Living with Significant BH Needs who are Identified as Experiencing Homelessness in FY 2024-2025 Based on Available Data, Compared with the Rate (per 10,000) of All People Enrolled in Medi-Cal who are Identified as Experiencing Homelessness in FY 2024-2025 Based on Available Data
This measure uses a novel approach for identifying people experiencing homelessness using a combination of Homelessness Data Integration System (HDIS) from California's housing Continuums of Care and available Medi-Cal data, including addresses, ICD-10 z-codes documenting housing status as part of medical encounters, and the place of service for medical encounters. It provides a more complete-than-ever understanding of people experiencing homelessness within the Medi-Cal population. For more information on this measure, please refer to the BHT Technical Specifications Manual.
